How Online Bachata Sensual Classes Work
An online session runs the same way as an in-person private lesson, with one difference: we are on a video call instead of in the same room. You set up in a clear space at home, I can see your full body, and I give real-time corrections the same way I would in person.
The camera does not hide technique gaps. If anything, it makes certain things more visible: posture, arm placement, foot timing, and body articulation show up clearly from a metre or two back. Most students are surprised by how much they get done in a single online session.

Everything You Need for Your First Online Bachata Session
A Clear Space
At least 2 by 2 metres where you can move freely. Clear some furniture if needed. A smooth floor is better than carpet but either works for technique work.
A Camera Device
Phone, tablet, or laptop with a front-facing camera. Position it so your full body is visible from head to foot. A wider angle works better than zoomed in.
Good Internet
A stable connection (home Wi-Fi is usually fine). We use Zoom or Google Meet. If you have had video calls without dropouts, the connection is good enough.
Comfortable Clothes
Wear something you can move freely in. Avoid very baggy clothes that hide your arms and hips. Smooth-soled shoes or clean socks work well on most floors.

I am based in Dubai (UTC+4). I teach students across Europe, Asia, Australia, and beyond. When you message me, tell me your timezone and your preferred times.
A Speaker or Headphones
We dance to music. Use a speaker or earbuds so you can hear the song clearly and move with the beat. Both hands free is easier for most people.

I am Nefeli Mourtou, originally from Athens, Greece, now teaching Bachata Sensual in Dubai and internationally. I hold the Korke and Judith Certified Instructor designation (2021), which means I trained directly with the people who created the style. I also hold the Judith Cordero Lady Styling Teacher Course certification (2022) and the Alex and Desiree Bachata Dominican Teacher Course (2021).
I started my dance journey at 13 with International Latin and turned professional in 2017. Since then I have taught over 700 students and delivered more than 2,500 classes in group settings, private sessions, and international workshops.
